“I've been working in HR since 1999 — which means I've seen employment law change beyond recognition, watched the profession evolve, and spent a long time figuring out what actually makes the difference between an HR professional who's good and one who's genuinely outstanding.
In 2008 I founded face2faceHR, a small business HR consultancy built on the belief that straightforward, practical advice beats complicated jargon every time. In 2013 I franchised the business, and since then I've been helping other HR professionals launch and grow their own consultancy practices — giving them a proven model, an established brand, and everything I've learned the hard way so they don't have to.
I'm also a panel member for employment tribunals, which gives me a perspective on HR risk and employment law that most practitioners simply don't have. I see the consequences of decisions made under pressure. I know what good looks like when it really counts.
These days I spend a lot of time sharing practical, no-nonsense HR advice on social media — because I believe the HR community is stronger when we share what we know. Firecrest is the natural next step: a place to go deeper, learn more, and genuinely level up.
